Boost Mobile has just announced the ZTE Speed joining their prepaid smartphones lineup. The mentioned handset is a new Android-based smartphone sporting a 4.6-inch display, 5-megapixel camera and 4G LTE connectivity. Belonging to mid-range league the Speed comes with quite affordable price tag and can be yours for $99 without long-term contract. So far, the phone is available exclusively as the prepaid carrier’s online offer, but it is scheduled to hit the Boost Mobile retailer stores in January 2015.
ZTE Speed Boost Mobile 4G LTE Affordable Phone
Going deeper into the Boost Mobile ZTE Speed specs sheet, the phone is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB RAM and is powered by 2,000 mAh battery. The phone operates on Android 4.4 Kitkat which isn’t the latest version of this operating system, but it surely could be worse.
Speaking of the optics, the phone provides its future users with a 5-megapixel main camera unit featuring LED flash and 2-megapixel front facing shooter. As for the storage capacity, it houses mere 8GB of built-in storage that can be later expanded via microSD cards up to 32GB.
Though the ZTE Speed isn’t the best Android smartphone currently available on the market even in this sub-$100 price sector, it is still a good option for all those who for some reasons value Boost Mobile as a service provider. The device works with Boost $35 per month plan that includes unlimited talk, text and 1GB of high speed data.
