Are you one of those unlucky folks who always struggle to find a perfect gift for Christmas, birthday or other occasion? This holiday season Cricket may help you in this respect. The carrier has just added a new Android smartphone to its expanding portfolio of 4G LTE devices. Priced at just $189.99, the ZTE Source offers near-stock Android experience and an interesting set of specs at a reasonable price and with no long-term obligations that come with a contract.
ZTE Source 4G LTE for Cricket
Looking at the price you will immediately realize that the device is definitely not a powerhouse, but it is not the point here. The ZTE Source for Cricket is aimed at those users who want a decent phone that would allow them to keep in touch with friends and family without the distraction of exaggerated technological tweaks.
The most important feature of the Source – the display – measures 4.5 inches diagonally and offers 854 x 480 resolution that works out to a pixel density of 218 ppi.
The ZTE Source runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, which is not the latest version of the OS. However, it is basically untouched by the manufacturer, and it is always a huge advantage. The phone is powered by a dual-core 1.2 GHz Snapdragon processor and offers 4 GB of internal memory expandable via microSD slot up to 32 GB.
The device sports rear and user-facing cameras, equipped with 5-megapixel and 1-megapixel sensors, respectively. As other Cricket phones, the ZTE Source provides access to the Muve Music service.
The phone can be paired with the carrier’s $45 unlimited plans with 2.5 GB of full-speed data.
