The ZTE Nubia Z5 is yet another handset that was scaled down to a mini version, following the trend of releasing one model in several sizes. The ZTE Nubia Z5 Mini has just been announced by ZTE and it is already available for purchase. The phone can be bought only in China, at least for the time being, at a price of 1,888 CNY, which would be around $308. The ZTE Nubia Z5 Mini is available in a handful of pastel hues including blue, pink and yellow.
ZTE Nubia Z5 vs. Nubia Z5 Mini
Normally, you would expect a mini model to be more or less one inch smaller than the original. However, in the case of the Nubia Z5, the difference in size of the screen is just 0.3 inches, so the Nubia Z5 Mini is hardly a mini in fact. The phone packs a 4.3-inch display with full HD resolution (1280 x 720 pixels) and is powered by a quad-core 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro accompanied by 2 GB of RAM.
The ZTE Nubia Z5 Mini sports 16 GB of internal memory expandable up to 32 GB via microSD slot. The device comes equipped with a 13-megapixel main camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter. The phone features 3G connectivity, including TD-SCDMA for China Mobile. Power is delivered by a 2,300 mAh battery.
Just like the original, the Nubia Z5 Mini runs Android Jelly Bean.
