ZTE Grand X MaxLong gone are the times when all phones were more or less the same size. Now you can find handsets in all sizes, the average measuring 5 inches diagonally. Objectively speaking, a 5-inch phone is a pretty big device. However, as the tendency to make things bigger continues, many users look for even larger phones. With such users in mind, the 6-inch ZTE Grand X Max+ was made. The phablet is now available for purchase from Cricket Wireless priced at $199.99 with no annual contract.

ZTE Grand X Max+ Cricket Wireless Phablet

Grand X Max+ for CricketAs you might have guessed, the ZTE Grand X Max+ for Cricket Wireless is a successor of the ZTE Grand X Max released in October last year. Since it’s a “plus” model, it naturally comes with a few improvements, such as 4G LTE (Cat4) connectivity which wasn’t present on the original Grand X Max, and a much better user-facing camera.

True to its name, the Grand X Max+ is impressive in size, boasting a 6-inch display with HD 720p resolution. It’s surprisingly thin, though, measuring just 0.32 inches (7.87mm) in thickness. The beast of a smartphone is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor with Adreno 305 GPU taking care of graphics and packs 2GB of RAM (twice as much as the X Max offered) and 16GB of built-in storage expandable up to 32GB via microSD slot.

The phone is also equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a respectable 5-megapixel front-facing shooter. In addition to LTE radio, other connectivity features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB. A 3200mAh battery keeps the light on, but despite its rather large capacity, it looks like it’s good for only 6 hours and 30 minutes of talk time. Don’t worry, though, QuickCharge 1.0 will help you charge the phone faster.

The ZTE Grand X Max+ for Cricket is not the most high-end device on the market, obviously, but all in all, it appears to be a pretty decent offering. What makes the phone even more attractive is its super affordable price of just $199.99 which doesn’t require long-term agreement. If you feel that it could be the right choice for you, all you have to do is visit Cricket’s online or retail store.
