Two weeks earlier than expected, ZTE’s new Grand X is now available on Phones 4U for free on a 2-year £20.50 Vodafone contact which includes 300 minutes, 3,000 texts and 250MB of monthly data.
For a comparable price, T-Mobile and Orange offer only 100 MB of data. According to Virgin Media, the smartphone without contract will cost £189.99.

Nicknamed the “gaming smartphone”, the ZTE Grand X sports an Nvidia dual-core Tegra 2 processor clocked at 1GHz plus 1 GB RAM for improved performance. Add to this a 4.3-inch touch screen with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels which can display up to 16 million colors and accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate, as well as access to the Tegra Gaming Zone where users can download game titles optimized for the handset’s chip and you get hours of play time.
The ZTE Grand X phone also features a 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus and flash, HD video capture, VGA front facing camera for video calls and 4 GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to additional 32 GB with a microSD card.
Dolby Mobile technology turns the ZTE Grand X into a quality player. The device also offer HD video streaming and FM Radio.
Although at a first glance, the phone’s features may seem rather average, there is one thing that most devices lack – it comes with stock Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, something that is not very common on the market.
