Just few weeks ago Sony released its flagship Xperia Z3, which is now hitting store shelves all over the world, and just right now as if not to lose the precious time the company appears to be preparing to launch another flagship handset that is said to replace the last year Xperia Ultra in the lineup’s phablet sector. Rumors call it “Xperia Z3X” and everything suggest that the device is going to be a pretty powerful beast of a phablet with equally impressive camera features.
Sony Xperia Z3X will be allegedly equipped with a package of beefy specs…
The first information concerning the rumored Xperia Z3X popped online this July, along with the very first render images presenting the phone’s body design. We can’t be 100 percent sure whether the pics show the real device, or simply are fabricated fake materials. No matter whether they turn out to be true or not, the Xperia Z3X is pretty certain to be released next year since the device appeared in the AnTuTu benchmark documentation. Though the AnTuTu benchmark listings may just as well be forged, the leak seems to be more reliable than previous render images.
According to the AnTuTu benchmarks, the upcoming Sony’s phablet will be allegedly equipped with a package of beefy specs. The handset reportedly comes with a 6.2-inch touchscreen featuring 2560x1440p of resolution. It will be also powered by the Qualcomm 64-bit Snapdragon 810 chipset with Adreno 430 GPU and an octa-core processor reportedly sporting four Cortex-A57 cores and four Cortex-A53 ones. This powerful processor will be coupled with mouth-watering 4GB RAM.
What’s even more interesting the Xperia Z3X is said to come with the Sony’s latest camera technology.
The unveiled in July curved photo sensor features the cutting-edge tech that simulates the curvature of the human eye allegedly delivering highly realistic photos. We’ve heard rumors that the Z3X is supposed to be the first device using this innovative technology, and just right now we can be pretty certain that rumors may soon become facts. Other optic parameters mention 22.1-megapixel sensor with f/1.2 aperture.
These great camera specs can mean only one thing, the company is seriously thinking of attracting all photo maniacs with their new flagship that is said to compete with Nokia’s Pureview series, but apparently the device, thanks to its high-end specs, will draw attention of wider group of users not just photo fans.
Time will show whether the handset will join the Xperia lineup as a replacement for the Xperia Ultra or as the successor of the Z3 (which is highly probable taking into account the Sony’s six-month launch cycle). Although further details concerning the Z3X premiere, availability and price are still something of a mystery, we know that the phablet is supposedly scheduled to be launch in the first quarter of 2015.
