Xolo announces the world’s lightest smartphone, meet the Xolo Q900s Plus

Xolo Q900S Plus OSBack in July Xolo launched the Q900s, and just few months later its successor is ready to hit the market. Dubbed as Xolo Q900s Plus, the new device is claimed to be the world’s lightest smartphone. It seems like the race for the title of the slimmest and lightest handset is never to come to an end. The new Xolo Q900s Plus has been already listed on the manufacturer’s official website with a price tag of Rs 8,299, which translates to something round 132 bucks.

Xolo Q900S PlusThe India company is boasting around to produce the world’s lightest smartphone, which is rather a bold statement since the Xolo Q900s Plus weights the same 100 grams as its predecessor. What’s more there are plenty of phones that are lighter that the hailed the lightest Q900s Plus.

The phone being a slightly improved version of its predecessor runs Android 4.4 KitKat and features a 4.7-inch HD display, and this is pretty much all the upgrades we may find while comparing those two twin like devices.

Other specs remain identical and include the 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset clocked at 1.2Ghz complete with Adreno 302 GPU paired with 1GB RAM and 8GB of built-in storage that can be expanded via microSD cards, but only to 32GB. In the field of optics, we will get an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and the Purcel sensor, providing its users with a high quality bright and clear pics in high and low light environment that is accompanied by a mere 2-megapixel front-facing unit.

Moving on to the connectivity, the handset goes on sale equipped with a decent package of connectivity options like dual SIM, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth. All these will be powered by a 1,800 mAh battery that is reported to deliver 14 hours of talktime and up to 246 hours on standby mode.

Taking into consideration the Xolo Q900s Plus specs, the phone is probable to compete in this sector market with serious rivals like for instance, Panasonic P41 and Micromax Canvas HD Plus A190.

Though the price details has already been announced, the Xolo Q900s Plus specific launch date still remains unknown. But since practically speaking pretty much everything about the phone has been unveiled, we may expect the availability details to come any day now.
