Everyone has his own way of celebrating the end of one year and beginning of another. The Indian manufacturer of mobile devices, Xolo, decided to wrap up 2013 with a new phone. The Xolo Q3000 is available in two color options, black and white, and costs Rs. 20,999, which would be about $339 if the device was sold in the US today. Besides the phone, in the box customers will also find a nice surprise in the form of a free flip cover and OTG cable.
Xolo Q3000 5.7-inch Full HD Phablet
The Xolo Q3000 is no tiny offering. The phone measures 164.8 x 81.6 x 8.9 mm and packs a huge 5.7-inch display which puts it in the phablet leauge. The IPS screen offers Full HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) which, given the size, works out to a pixel density of 386 ppi. The handset’s big body houses quite interesting insides. For starters, we get MTK 6589 Turbo SoC with 1.5 GHz quad-core CPU and PowerVR SGX544 GPU accompanied by no less than 2 GB of RAM. The phone runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and ships with a Massie 4,000 mAh bartery.
The Xolo Q3000 comes with 16 GB of internal memory and microSD slot compatible with up to 32 GB cards. The phone’s dual cameras should offer pretty good photographic experience. The main camera shoots photos at 13 megapixels and features LED flash and BSI 2 sensor. The front-facing camera is a 5-megapixel unit also equipped with BSI sensor. The device sports standard connectivity features such as 3G, Wi-Fi with mobile hotspot, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth and comes with a set of sensors including accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, proximity, and ambient light sensor.
