The long-rumored Xolo Q2100 has finally been officially launched. Being manufacturer’s first Android phone featuring a fingerprint scanner, the Q2100 is the next step forward in the Xolo’s design and technology. Xolo Q2100 Android Smartphone
The Xolo Q2100 is a dual-SIM phone powered by a MediaTEk MT6582 chipset with a quad-core 1.3GHz processor paired with 1GB RAM and 8GB of built-in storage that can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD cards. Furthermore, the handset sports a massive 5.5-inch HD display with 1280x720p of resolution that translates to the pixel density of 265 ppi. The IPS screen is additionally covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 that provides a pretty good protection against scratches.
Speaking of the phone’s optics, the Q2100 is equipped with an 8-megapixel rear camera featuring Sony Exmor R sensor, Autofocus and LED flash that is additionally capable of recording 1080p full HD videos. The main sensor is accompanied by a front-facing 2-megapixel shooter.
Going further, the phone is also equipped with an IR blaster with pre-installed Peel Smart Remote app that enable the Q2100 future users control their TV, DVR, DVD and other appliances being something of a universal remote control. All this is reportedly powered by a 2,800 mAh battery that is said to deliver up to 22 hours of talk time enclosed in the measuring 152.4 x 75 x 9.3 mm body. In terms of software, the smartphone runs Android 4.4 Kitkat OS.
The mentioned earlier fingerprint scanner located on the back of the phone enables you a secure access and quick and safe locking/unlocking of the handset in just a single swipe of your fingers over the sensor. You can enroll maximum three fingers that will be successfully decoded during the user’s identification process. Sadly, the phone isn’t the 4G LTE-enabled device, but it shouldn’t make us wonder since LTE connectivity is still a rare function in devices of this price sector.
