Xolo has just introduced a new smartphone, the Xolo One, that comes labeled with the price tag of Rs 6,599, which is an equivalent of $105. The smartphone isn’t only the most budget-friendly handset running Android KitKat, but it is also said to be updated with Android 5.0 Lollipop, making it simultaneously the cheapest smartphone featuring the latest version of Google’s OS. Though the Xolo One has been already added to the company’s website, details concerning it retail debut date are still unknown. Feel like wanting to learn more about the device? Let’s check what the phone can offer to its future users.
Xolo One Android Smartphone
The mentioned at the beginning pricing suggests we shouldn’t expect nothing more but just decent hardware specs. The Xolo One goes on sale equipped with a 4.5-inch IPS touch screen with the poor resolution of 854x480p, which translates to pixel density of 218ppi.
When it comes to optics we can’t expect high quality photos since the handset is said to feature a 5-megapixel rear camera with BSI sensor, LED flash that is capable of recording 1080p videos. Additionally, the main sensor is accompanied by a less than acceptable VGA front-facing camera, which means that the phone won’t definitely interest any selfie-obsessed.
Going deeper, the Xolo One is reported to be powered by a Mediatek MTK 6582M chipset housing Mali 400 MP2 GPU and aquad-core Cortex-A7 CPU clocked at 1.3GHz that is coupled with 1GB RAM. It also features dual SIM slots and supports GPS, Wi-Fi, 3G and 21Mbps HSPA network, but sadly there’s no LTE connectivity. Other connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB 2.0. Furthermore, the phone’s 8GB internal storage can be expanded via microSD cards up to 32GB.
The 1,700 mAh battery that feeds the handset will allegedly be able to deliver up to 430 hours on the stand-by mode and even up to 19 hours of talk time when using 2G network, but when switched to 3G it can last 377 hours on the stand-by mode and provide only 8 hour of talk. There’s also a regular package of sensor including accelerometer and proximity sensor on the Xolo One’s board.
The Xolo One goes on sale in 6 different color schemes, including: traditional black and white, brown or red. Although it’s back cover is said to be made of leather which allegedly gives the phone highly elegant look, the so-called leather may be just as well the well-known Samsung-like faux leather. So far, the premiere date and availability haven’t been officially announced.
