Not so long ago we have reported that Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi is about to bring out its flagship phone the Mi3 to the Indian market. Keeping its word the company has officially announced in India three models: Xiaomi Mi3 flagship phone, Xiaomi Redmi 1S and Xiaomi Redmi Note phablet. The Mi3 can be now purchased exclusively via ecommerce store Flipkart at a lower price than manufacturer announced previously. The handset can be yours for Rs. 13,999 ($232) without contract, which is Rs. 1000 ($17) cheaper.
Xiaomi Mi3 Flagship Smartphone
Although the Xiaomi isn’t very famous outside its home country – China, it’s rapidly-developing mobile phone manufacturer desiring to compete with the widely dominating the market Apple and Samsung. How do they want to achieve the goal? Well, the company offers high-spec devices for genuinely low price.
What’s the recipe for the Xiaomi success? The company has little advertising and no retail outlets, which helps them to decrease the costs. But, they are omnipresent in social media, thanks to which they have ardent Xiaomi fans all over the net. And just right now, they’re starting to introduce their products to the Indian market. Will they succeed? Will they gain the expected target of 60 million sales this year and planned 100 million sales in 2015? Will it be their first move in reaching popularity all over the world?
Let’s take a closer look at the phones. The equipped with Snapdragon 800 2.3 GHz processor, Adreno 330 450 MHz GPU, 2GB LPDDR 3RAM and eMMC 4.5 flash memory, the Mi3 is deemed to be the fastest Xiaomi phone ever. It is at least what the company says. The device runs on Android 4.4 KitKat. Speaking of the design, the phone has aluminum-magnesium frame, covered with thermal graphite. Its look is undoubtedly inspired by Nokia Lumia’s design.
The Xiaomi Mi3 has large 5-inch 1920×1080 display and 13 megapixel rear camera with additional 2 megapixel front one. The manufacturer ensures that the 3,050 mAh battery can supply 21hrs of G3 Internet use, 25 hrs of talk and 50 hrs of playing music. The standby time is estimated up to 500 hrs. It is now available for purchase at price of Rs. 13,999 ($232), which is cheaper of the original price set up at Rs. 14,999 ($249).
Xiaomi Redmi 1S and Redmi Note Phablet
The two other launched smartphones are the Xiaomi Redmi 1S and the Redmi Note. The first one is allegedly the cheapest phone being recently released and costs only $116. But the lower price is accompanied by lower specs.
The Xiaomi Redmi S1’s specs are a little less advanced than the Mi3’s. It is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 with quad-core of 1.6 GHz CPU, Adreno 305 GPU, 1 GB RAM, 8BG storage space with additional microSD card slot and dual SIM. The Redmi 1S’s camera has 8 megapixel shooter and the facing camera is a 2 megapixel one. It is supported by MIUI based on Android 4.3 operating system.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note has the biggest 5.5 inch 720p display of the all three phones. It is also powered by MIUI based on Android 4.3, and has the same rear camera specs as the Mi3, but its front camera offers us 5 megapixel with 720 p. video. The phone is priced at RS. 9,999, which is an equivalent of $166.
If you want to buy the Xiaomi Mi3, you will have to register on Flipkart. As it comes to the other two phones, the exact official date of the Redmi 1S and Redmi Note premiere is still unknown; however, some sources mention that they will be available in August.
