Gold Galaxy Note 5 is available in the US
It seems that the most popular color for smartphones is good old black, however, more and more manufacturers are making devices in a selection of less common hues. For instance, gold has been increasingly popular, especially for premium handhelds. Apple and HTC have been making gold phones as has been Samsung and now the White Gold Galaxy Note 5 is available in the US via Pink Magenta network.

The Gold variant costs exactly the same as other Galaxy Note 5 color options, that is $699.99 for the 32GB model and $779.99 for 64GB of storage. If your budget can’t handle such payment at once, the 32GB version is priced at $0 down plus 24 payments of $29.17 per month on EIP or $0 down and 18 payments of $15 per month with eligible trade-in on JUMP! On Demand. The more capacious model, on the other hand, will set you back $99.99 down and 24 payments of $28.34 per month on EIP or $99 down and 18 payments of $14.50 per month with eligible trade-in on JUMP! On Demand. For a limited time you can grab the phone $50 cheaper from T-Mobile official online store, if you use promo code NOTE5DEAL at checkout.

New color aside, the Gold Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is identical to White and Black models. It means that you can expect a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a massive Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution, S Pen support as well as 4GB of RAM. Powering the phablet is an octa-core Exynos 7420 processor and there is 32GB or 64GB of built-in storage, unfortunately non-expandable. Other key features include a 16-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization and dual-video recording, 5-megapixel selfie camera, fingerprint scanner, and a 3,000 mAh battery which should be good for up to 21 hours of talk time or up to 14 days of standby time.

While the color may not be a decisive factor, for many people the phone’s appearance plays an important role in deciding which model to choose. Even though the Gold version of the Galaxy Note 5 follows exactly the same design language and has identical internals as other variants, it gives the impression of being more premium than White Pearl and Black Sapphire models. And it’s always great to have more color options to choose from.
