The Motorola Droid Ultra and Motorola Droid Mini showed up In the carrier’s store earlier today adding to holiday atmosphere with their white coats. The phones themselves are not entirely new to Verizon, since the carrier is already selling black and red models of both Droids. White version, however, was unavailable until now.
White Droid Ultra vs. Droid Mini
Both, the Motorola Droid Ultra and Motorola Droid Mini, are priced the same as their black and red counterparts, that is $99.99 and $49.99 on a new two-year contract, respectively. As a special bonus for this weekend only, Verizon throws in free activation on new lines.
Expect for being dressed in white, the phones are identical to those released before. Since both have been released a while ago, let’s go over the specs just to make sure you know what you will be getting. The Motorola Droid Ultra packs a 5-inch edge-to-edge Super AMOLED HD display, dual-core 1.7 GHz Motorola X8 Mobile Computing System, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory.
Holiday season has begun meaning that you will be probably snapping lots of picture so the 10-megapixel RGBC camera will certainly come in handy. There is also a 2-megapixel front-facing camera perfect for selfies.
The Motorola Droid Mini has basically the same specs, though packed in a smaller body. Except for a 4.3-inch HD display and a slightly less powerful battery (2000 mAh versus 2130 mAh on the Droid Ultra) both phones are identical including the processor, RAM, storage and dual cameras. Both handsets run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
