It’s usually phones of the most popular brands that hit the headlines. There are, however, a bunch of smartphone manufacturers that are less known in the US, but nevertheless make excellent devices. One of the leaders on the Chinese market is Vivo. The company’s upcoming handset called Vivo X5 Pro has been leaking rather frequently lately revealing some hardware details and design.
Vivo X5 Pro may be equipped with 32MB front-facing camera
The Vivo X5 Pro is supposed to be a mid-ranger, but looking at the specs that have just leaked out, it’s clear that the phone is pretty close to high-end tier. If the rumors are to be believed, the X5 Pro will heavily focus on mobile photography. The phone allegedly boasts a monstrous 32-megapixel front-facing camera and the main shooter is said to offer phase detection autofocus. The technology has been used so far only in a couple of premium devices, that is the Apple iPhone 6 and the Samsung Galaxy S5. It seems like Vivo aims to bring it to wider audience.
Other rumored features besides the camera are also quite exciting. Supposedly powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 615 processor, the X5 Pro is believed to come with massive 3GB of RAM, large 3,500 mAh battery and the innovative USB Type-C connector. The phone will run Android 5.0 Lollipop with Funtouch 2.1 on top. All the components are expected to be packed into a metal frame with a front glass with slightly rounded corners, which produce a 2.5D effect. Bezels look very narrow so even if the screen is extra large, the handset should be quite easy to handle.
At the moment it’s uncertain when the Vivo X5 Pro will go official. April 28th has been mentioned a few times, however, several sources claim that the phone will be announced some time next week. Either way, if the rumored specs turn out to be true, the device will definitely cause a lot of excitement. It most like won’t be available globally which makes us kind of envy those lucky users who will be able to get their hands on the phone.
