Virgin Mobile launches Samsung Galaxy Ring at price $179 without a contract

However, if you really want a Samsung phone, preferably from the Galaxy lineup, we have good news for you. The company has release the Samsung Galaxy Ring for Virgin Mobile. The phone is available now at the carrier’s store at a very affordable price of just $179.99. The handset is up for grabs for prepaid customers so it does not require any contract.

Samsung Galaxy RingThe Samsung Galaxy Ring for Virgin Mobile features a 4-inch TFT display and is powered by a quad-core 1.4 GHz processor. The handset offers 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB of built-in memory with a microSD card slot supporting up to 64 GB cards. The phone is equipped with a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, auto focus and 720p video capture. There is also a 1.3-megapixel sensor on the front panel for video calls.

The Galaxy Ring runs on Sprint’s Nationwide 3G Network and offers Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. The light are kept on by a 1,750 mAh battery, which should deliver up to 8 hours talk time and up to 7 days standby time. Other features include the usual array of useful tools such as music and video player, calendar, calculator, compass, voice dialing etc. The phone runs with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and ships with a full set of Google apps, including Google Maps with turn-by-turn GPS navigation, Google+, Google Play and much more.
