Does Samsung, HTC, Nokia, iPhone or the likes are too common for your taste? Vertu has something for you. Actually, the company released its first Android-powered smartphone, the Vertu TI, at the beginning of this year, and now is back with a limited edition of the phone. In addition to the traditional black hue, the TI is now available also in Sunset Red and Midnight Blue. Only 2000 units will be made, 1000 for each color. Also each phone will come with its unique number and signature of the craftsman that built the device by hand.
Limited Edition Vertu TI Red and Blue
The Vertu TI can be an interesting alternative for those users who are not shy of spending $11,700 on a smartphone. The device does not come with any mind-blowing hardware specifications so obviously this is not what contributes to its uniqueness.
What sets the Vertu TI apart from other devices is that it is not mass produced. Instead every single unit is crafted separately with the use of premium materials. Both the Sunset Red or Midnight Blue models are made with leather and use a sapphire crystal for screen. What adds to the phone’s value is the concierge service ready to attend you at any time.
The new color options come with the same specs as the black model. The Sunset Red and Midnight Blue versions feature 3.7-inch displays with 800 x 480 resolution and are powered by dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processors ticking at 1.7 GHz. Both phones pack 8-megapixel cameras on the back and run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. In terms of connectivity the TI offers HSPA+ data up to 42Mbps, Bluetooth 4.0 LE and NFC. There is also 64 GB of internal memory.
