Verizon Samsung ATIV SEWe have heard quite a lot about the Verizon Samsung ATIV SE through countless rumors and leaks feeding our imagination with juicy details. No more imagining things, tough, as the ATIV SE is finally official. With the amount of attention the phone received you would expect at least a press release but instead Verizon quietly slipped the device into its online store and started taking pre-orders. Not only that, but the handset is also available with BOGO promotion, which means Buy One and Get One Free.

Verizon Samsung ATIV SE Windows Phone 8

Samsung ATIV SEThe Samsung ATIV SE for Verizon Wireless is priced at $199.99 with a new two-year agreement, however, you can choose not to sign the contract and grab the phone outright for $599.99. When you take advantage of the BOGO promotion you will essentially get the device for half of its regular price as the second handset is completely free. Should one ATIV SE be enough for you, you can choose a different phone from Verizon’s offer, for example the Samsung Galaxy S5 or the HTC One M8. However, whichever phone you choose as a part of your BOGO deal, you will still need to sign a separate contract for each device.

As of the ATIV SE, it looks like the rumors weren’t far from the truth when it comes to the phone’s design and specs. As expected, the phone visually resembles Samsung’s Galaxy S lineup. The handset runs Windows Phone 8 rather than the latest 8.1 version, but it’s not much of a surprise actually. The first devices with 8.1 iteration on board are expected to hit the stores some time in May and the ATIV SE is set to start shipping on April 12th.

The Samsung ATIV SE packs a 5-inch 1080p Full HD Super AMOLED, a 2.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage expandable via microSD slot. A 13-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing sensor are present, both offering Full HD video capture. Other features include a full suite of connectivity options such as 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS navigation, as well as a 2,600 mAh battery which is good for up to 20 hours of usage time or up to 20 days of standby time.
