Today Verizon Wireless added the HTC One Max to its roster. However, if you are not a big fan of phablets and prefer more compact phones, the carrier has something for you too. The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini and Galaxy S III Mini joined Verizon’s portfolio as well with a price of $99.99 and $49.99, respectively. Both devices require two-year contracts, obviously. Another option is to buy the handsets outright off contract, in which case the Galaxy S4 Mini will set you back $399.99, while the Galaxy S III Mini will cost $249.99. Both phones are also available on Verizon Edge for $10.56 monthly (Galaxy S III Mini) and $16.81 (Galaxy S4 Mini).
Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini vs. Galaxy S III Mini
The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini is a 4.3-inch smartphone featuring a Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels and a dual-core 1.7 GHz Snapdragon 400 processor. What you can also find inside the phone is 1.5 GB of RAM, 8-megapixel rear camera, 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera, 16 GB of expandable storage and 1,900 mAh battery.
The Galaxy S4 Mini runs fairly modern version of Android, that is 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, and offers NFC, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi.
The Galaxy S III Mini is somewhat less exciting and given that the phone was introduced last year it can be classified as an entry-level offering at this moment. Key features of the device include a 4-inch Super AMOLED 480 x 800 display, a dual-core 1 GHz processor, 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory.
The phone also offers a 5-megapixel camera, VGA front-facing camera, microSD card support up to 64GB, as well as LTE and HSPA connectivity. Like the Galaxy S4 Mini, the S III Mini also runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
