Verizon Nexus 7 4G LTE tablet on sale for $49.99 on contract

ByinSales & Special Offers, Tablets | March 14, 2014

Verizon Nexus 7 SaleIt took some time for Verizon Wireless to bring the newest Google Nexus 7 4G LTE tablet to its network. Launched almost eight months ago, the slate arrived at Big Red stores just few weeks ago. Late release, however, doesn’t seem to be an obstacle to a quick price cut launching a sale. The carrier has just shaved $200 off the regular price and is having the tablet on sale for a very cheap price of $49.99 on contract. This is the most tempting deal on Nexus 7 with cellular connectivity so far.

Google Nexus 7 4G LTE for Verizon

Nexus 7 4G LTETo take advantage of the deal on Verizon Nexus 7 4G LTE you will have to sign a new two-year agreement with the carrier. The promotion doesn’t affect the off-contract model in which case the price remains the same, that is $349.99. As a bonus, the carrier throws in free overnight shipping. Also, you can add the slate to Everything plan for an additional $10 per month.

The Nexus 7 4G LTE for Verizon is a 7-inch offering from Google equipped with a brilliant 1920 x 1200 display with a pixel density of 323 ppi. The tablet is powered by a quad-core 1.5 GHz processor paired with 2 GB of RAM and offers 32 GB of internal memory. In addition to 4G LTE, the Nexus 7 comes with such connectivity features as Bluetooth 4.0 and dual-band Wi-Fi.

Photographic experience is delivered by a 5-megapixel rear camera with 1080p video capture, and a 1.2-megapixel front-facing sensor capable of shooting video at 720p. The tablet’s 3,950 mAh battery should be good for up to 9 hours of usage time or up to 12.5 days of standby time. The Nexus 7 will ship with Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box complete with a full suite of Google Apps.

The Nexus 7 is not the newest device on the market, however, it has one huge advantage over its competitors. Stock Android OS is a guarantee of quick updates, so even though the hardware gets older, you still will be able to enjoy the latest version of the most popular platform on your tablet. The requirement of a two-year contract may be a discouraging factor for some customers, however, if you are not planning to switch carriers any time soon, Verizon’s arguably the best deal on the Nexus 7 4G LTE.
