Most smartphone makers allow some degree of personalization for they phones. In most cases you can choose from a limited number of color options and sometimes even storage. The Moto X is by far the most customizable phone you can image allowing you to pick up the color of the back plate, the rims and buttons, your own wallpaper and even a personal engraving on the back. This kind of freedom costs, obviously. However, if you can live with a run-of-the-mill black or white model, Amazon Wireless has a deal that would be extremely difficult to decline.
Cheap Phones: Verizon Moto X for a penny
The biggest online retailer is currently selling the Moto X for just a penny, $0.01. The lucky winners are Verizon subscribers. The carrier’s regular price is currently set at $99.99 after its half-off promotion expired, meaning that Amazon’s offer will let you save almost $100. Of course, a two-year contract is still required.
The deal is not limited to any group of customers so you will be able to take advantage of the promotion regardless of whether you are a new or existing Verizon customer. The deal include free two-day shipping.
There is more good news about the Moto X for Verizon. Yesterday Motorola released KitKat upgrade for the Moto X phone and the first carrier to get the upgrade is Verizon.
The latest version of Android platform comes with some interesting improvements. For example, improved phone dialer allows you to search for contacts directly from the dial-pad and the new Hangouts app keeps all your conversations in one place. There are new effects in gallery including Posterize, Highlights, and Edges. The camera app has been upgraded as well. Finally, texting or mailing will be even more fun now thanks to colorful Emoji characters.
