Amazon sells the new Verizon Moto X 2nd Generation for a dollar, save almost $100 if you skip carrier’s store
The market is full of great smartphones, but if you look closely you will find a fault or two in every single one of them. The conclusion is simple – a perfect phone doesn’t exist. However, if we were to pick one, the 2014 version of the Moto X is damn near perfection. Is there anything better than the great Moto X 2nd Generation? Sure there is – an insanely cheap Moto X 2nd Generation. Amazon is selling the Verizon variant of the handset for just a dollar, which means that you can save almost $100 if you skip the Verizon store.
Deal on Verizon Moto X 2nd Gen.
The biggest online retailer currently has Verizon version of the new Moto X on sale priced at only $1. Good news is that both new and existing customers who are eligible for upgrade can take advantage of the deal. The phone obviously requires a new two-year contract. Verizon Wireless, on the other hand, is offering the Moto X 2nd Generation for $99.99 with a two-year agreement which is $98.99 more.
Compared to last year’s version, the 2014 edition of the Moto X is a huge leap forward. The phone not only has a new and refined design but also significantly improved hardware and software. The handset’s metal frame houses a large 5.2-inch Full HD display, 13-megapixel rear camera with 4K video capture as well as a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter. The device is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5GHz and paired with 2GB of RAM. As for software, the Moto X 2nd Gen runs the latest version of Android in its pure form and comes with cool functionalities such as voice control. Downsides? Maybe one. Amazon’s deal will get you only a 16GB model in black. If you need more storage or a different color option, you will have to look somewhere else.
Objectively speaking, Verizon’s regular price is not very expensive, especially compared to prices of other devices with similar specification. But why pay $100 when you can grab the phone for a mere dollar if you buy it from Amazon instead of carrier’s store. After all, it doesn’t really matter who ships the device. What matters is that you can get the amazing Moto X 2nd Generation almost for free.
