The first member of LG’s new V-series of high-end phones went official in early October. Last week AT&T and T-Mobile added the phone to their offer and now one more carrier is selling LG’s new premium device. If you are an existing Verizon customer or plan to jump on the Big Red bandwagon soon, you will be happy to know that the LG V10 for Verizon is now on sale online and in brick and mortar stores.
LG V10 for Verizon Wireless
Since Verizon is no longer offering long-term contracts, you will have only two payment options to choose from. If you want to pay full retail price at checkout, the phone will cost you $672. You can also take advantage of Verizon’s financing plan in which case the handset will set you back $0 down and $28 per month for 24 months. Moreover, the Verizon LG V10 is eligible for LG’s free accessory promotion. If you order the phone from Verizon, Amazon, or Best Buy before November 15, LG will throw in a free 200GB microSD card, a 3,000 mAh battery and a battery charging cradle.
At first glance the LG V10 looks like any other premium smartphone, but it’s not an ordinary device – it has two screens on the front panel and two user-facing cameras. The main screen measures 5.7 inches diagonally and offers QHD resolution. The secondary 2.1-inch screen is placed above the main one and serves for displaying notifications when the main display is off and shortcuts when the main display is on. On the front panel are also located two 5-megapixel cameras which use a special algorithm to make wide-angle photos.
The rest of the specs are equally impressive. The LG V10 is powered by a Snapdragon 808 processor paired with 4GB of RAM and offers 64GB of internal memory with microSD support. The phone also sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with OIS 2.0, f/1.8 aperture and manual mode for video as well as a generous 3,000 mAh battery which should be good for up to 18 hours of usage time or up to 7 days of standby time. The device is available in two color options: Pure Black and Luxe White. The white model is exclusive to Verizon.
Additionally, if you are in the market for a new LG tablet, you can take advantage of Verizon’s special promotion and score the LG G Pad X 8.3 at a cheaper price. If you buy the LG V10 together with the tablet, the latter will cost just $49.99. Normally, the LG G Pad X 8.3 is priced at $129.99 so you will be saving $80. At the moment it’s unclear when the deal expires so you may want to make up your mind rather sooner than later.
