Verizon LG Revere 2 hits carrier stores, now on sale for free

Verizon Revere 2The LG Revere 2 appeared a few days ago on Verizon’s rebate form suggesting imminent launch. Indeed, the phone was made available yesterday and can be purchased at the carrier’s online store. Verizon is offering the Revere 2 for free but requires a new 2-year activation. Those who prefer not to sign lengthy contracts with the carrier can purchase the phone for $199.99 and use it with month to month pre-paid service.

LG Revere 2The follow-up to the LG Revere, the Revere 2 offers sleek yet durable clamshell form factor. Measuring just 3.78 x 1.95 x 0.72 inches, the handset is small enough to fit into any pocket and can be operated single-handedly even by a child. The phone’s internal TFT display measures 2 inches in diameter and supports 176 x 220 resolution. The secondary 1-inch screen display time, date, battery level and coverage. The phone is equipped with a 1.3-megapixel camera with 2x zoom, capture modes and built-in image editor. The device allows to upload photos directly to online album and Facebook.

The LG Revere 2 supports VZ Navigation so you will get full access to GPS voice navigation and 3D maps with real-time traffic. Thanks to Bluetooth technology you can pair the phone with any Bluetooth-enabled device such as PC, laptop or wireless headset. The power is provided by a standard 1,000 mAh battery which should deliver up to 420 minutes of talk time and up to 630 hours of standby time. Other features include voice memo recording, speed dial, multiple language support and over-the-air software updates.
