Announced few weeks ago the Moto E4 finally on sale at Verizon Wireless. The carrier is the first service provider in the US to distribute the device. Although the phone doesn’t offer impressive specs or breath-taking design, it is the cheapest smartphones available on the mobile market to run the latest version of Android Nougat out of box.
Verizon expanded their roster of affordable Android devices by another cheap phone. The Moto E4 is the cheapest Android Nougat phone available in the States that costs only $70.
We’ve already described the Moto E4’s specs at the occasion of its official announcement. But if for some reason you skipped the news, here’s a brief presentation of its key features.
The Moto E4, it is an entry-level phone powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB of built-in storage. Don’t worry you can expand this let’s be honest pretty basic storage space using microSD cards.
Furthermore, the handset houses a 5-inch display offering 720x1280p viewing experience. Connectivity options include support for the ultra-fast 4G LTE, whereas optics are represented by a combination of an 8MP primary sensor and a 5MP selfie snapper on the front. Both come equipped with LED flash. Although the presented above parameters are surely far from the latest standards, the Moto E4 has one big selling point, namely it works on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. Such feature is still a rarity in this price sector.
Speaking of pricing and availability details, starting today the phone is within the reach of all Verizon pre-paid customers. You can buy it for as little as $69.99, which is $60 cheaper than its usual full retail price. As for color options, Verizon sells only the black model of the Moto E4.
If you prefer the unlocked gold variant of the device, then you will have to wait until June 30, which is when the phone is scheduled to hit other retailers including Amazon, Best Buy, B&H Photo, and Newegg. Other carriers will start to sell the device in July. If you want something bigger, then wait for the 5.5-inch Moto E4 Plus powered by a 5,000 mAh battery. It will also hit sales in July priced at $179.99.
