Verizon Ellipsis 7 is now for sale in carrier’s stores for cheap on contract

ByinTablets | November 7, 2013

Verizon Ellipsis 7Exactly as announced earlier this week, the first Verizon-branded tablet, the Ellipsis 7, is now available for purchase from Verizon online store and select retail locations. If you are interested in the tablet, you will not have to dig deep into your pockets, since it is a pretty affordable offering. The slate costs $149.99. However, Verizon will ask you to sign a two-year contract if you want to buy the Ellipsis 7 for subsidized price. If you are not into long-term agreements, you can grab the tablet outright for $249.99.

Verizon Ellipsis 7 Tablet with Android 4.2.2

Ellipsis 7At the time of the announcement, we did not know much about the Ellipsis 7. Ok, it is a bit of overstatement. Verizon did not give us a single piece of technical detail. All we knew came from leaks and speculations, which however plausible-sounding, still were far from being official. Now that the tablet showed up at Verizon store, specs were revealed too, confirming what we expected.

The Verizon Ellipsis 7 measures 7.72 x 4.94 x 0.4 inches and sports a 7-inch display with 1280 x 800 resolution. Yes, it means that the bezels are quite thick. A dual-core 1.2 GHz processor is responsible for performance along with 1 GB of RAM. There is 8 GB of internal memory and a microSD slot for storage expansion supporting up to 32 GB cards.

The tablet also is equipped with a 3.2-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front-facing shooter. Other features include a 4000 mAh battery, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 3.0. The Ellipsis 7 runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean in pretty much stock flavor, by the looks of it.
