Motorola Droid MAXXThere is one kind of news that we always love to share – that a phone gets its price cut, even if just by a tiny percentage. It gets even better if the price is dropped by a whole $100. And if the phone in question is one of the latest offerings of one of the popular smartphone makers, it is simply perfect. Ladies and gentlemen, we have great news for you today. Verizon is selling the Motorola DROID MAXX and Droid ULTRA for $100 off their regular price. It means that the former can be yours for $199.99 and the latter will set you back just $99.99.

Droid MAXX and Droid Ultra New Pricing

Verizon Droid MAXXIf you were to ask why Verizon is dropping the price of these two devices, we would not be able to give you the answer. Whatever reason there is, potential customers are certainly smiling right now. Actually, many believe that original pricing was not adequate to what both phones have to offer.

Truth be told, there is little difference in terms of specs between these two devices, probably not worth the difference in pricing. Was it just a clever stratagem to trick your mind into believing that the Motorola Droid MAXX is some kind of out-of-this-world device? Maybe, but even if it was the case, it is not important now because both the Motorola DROID MAXX and Droid ULTRA are sporting much more reasonable price tags.

The two handsets are very similar in terms of specs and features, both coming with 5.0-inch Super AMOLED 1280 x 720 displays, 1.7 GHz dual–core Motorola X8 Mobile Computing System chips, 400 MHz quad–core GPU and 2 GB of RAM. Both phones are equipped with 10-megapixel rear cameras and 2-megapixel front-facing snappers, and run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The Droid MAXX offers 32 GB of internal memory and a massive 3500 mAh battery, while the Droid ULTRA packs 16 GB of storage and 2130 mAh battery.
