Verizon and Motorola are people pleasers. Recently at the event in New York that all three new Droid devices have been revealed by manufacturer and now all are available for pre-order at Verizon with 2 year contracts: Motorola Droid Mini, Motorola Droid Ultra, and Motorola Droid MAXX. Of course because all phones are in the same family under Verizon’s Droid smartphones, they feature many common specifications. Yet there are many differences that you guys will be able to experience in August. Functionality and features on each phone do compare more than contrast so Motorola and Verizon surely delivered great options for diverse customer preferences.
Droid Ultra vs. Droid MAXX vs. Droid Mini
One commonality being that the trio will all run on with the exclusive X8 Mobile Computing System that is built different from normal processing cores. It has an incredible combination of dual-core CPU and quad-core GPU as well as special stand-alone cores for the purposes of contextual computing as well as language processing. Which will feature TouchLess control mode with voice assistance allowing you to take your phone off of sleep/stand by with voice commands.
Another easy convenience is that notifications can be seen when the phone isn’t fully woke. Say good bye to the constant drag of unlocking your phone with your face, pattern, phrase, and personal safety designs.
The third feature of common traits these phones share is the DROID Command Center, a hub of quick access to important widgets on your phone such as settings and messages. The phones will specially deliver ‘quick photo’ mode with a 10-megapixel camera. And a fourth is more tailored for gamers; Ingress is pre-loaded into the phones.
As far as differences go for the Motorola Droid Mini with price tag at $99, comes equipped with a 4.3-inch HD 720p screen. The Motorola Droid Ultra is rumored to also be exclusively the thinnest 4G LTE smartphone ever with 7.18 millimeters (0.28 inches) thick. The Motorola Droid Ultra will be available at price at $199 and to feature a 5-inch HD display, which is larger than the Droid Mini but the same as the Droid MAXX. The Motorola Droid MAXX, is available at a higher end price, even a hundred more than the Droid Ultra, with price at $299. Verizon claims the Motorola Droid MAXX offers 48 hour battery life.
The phones will be available towards the end of August. The Droid Ultra and Maxx will be available on August 20th whereas the Droid Mini can be yours on August 29th. This is when the phones are expected to be shipped if you pre-order today.
