Two days after Best Buy opened pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S4 for Verizon, the phone can be secured thru the carrier store too. For sure it was a long wait and uneasy one since Verizon remained silent to the end on all the crucial details when the phone will be launched. But hey, it is the Samsung’s latest and greatest smartphone we are talking about, which means that it is worth these extra few days of your time.
Deal on Samsung Galaxy S4 for Verizon Wireless
The 16 GB model of the Samsung Galaxy S4 costs $249.99, which is exactly how much Sprint is asking for the phone. Luckily, Verizon throws in a $50 mail-in rebate, so the final price to pay is $199.99, which equals the price of the phone on AT&T. If you prefer the device with no further obligations, you will have shell out significantly more. The off contract Galaxy S4 costs $649.99, but comes with the advantage of no service agreement.
Unfortunately, previous rumors about May 30th as expected release date turned out to be true. Big Red confirmed that the Galaxy S4 will go on sale at the end of May, which means that Verizon subscribers will have to wait for the phone a month longer than customers on other carriers. What is more, the date refers to the units sold in retail stores only. At this point it is still unknown when the Verizon will start shipping handsets ordered via website. Such a long waiting period may be caused by the same inventory problems that affected T-Mobile and Sprint too. AT&T, however, promises to sell the Galaxy S4 online and in stores on April 27th as planned.
