US Cellular just launched the cheapest Android phone in the US

Those following the mobile world news know that the most fervently discussed phones are the Galaxy S8, LG G6 and the upcoming iPhone 8. However, not everyone of us can afford these stunning devices. If $700 is too much for your budget, don’t forget that there are mid-range phones like Moto Z priced for something round $450, affordable handsets like the Moto G5 retailing for $250, and extremely cheap phones like the recently released by US Cellular LG K3 sold for $19.99. Nope, there is no typo.

US Cellular expanded its portfolio by LG K3

US Cellular added a new cheap phone to their offer. Priced at $19.99 the LK K3 for 2017 is currently the cheapest Android smartphone in the US.

Proving that you can buy a decent phone for less than $20, US Cellular cuts the LK K3’s pricing down by $70 as normally the handset costs $90. The LG K3 is sold as a pre-paid option, which means there is no contract commitment required. However, to use the phone you still need to sign up for a Simple Connect plan whose pricing starts at $35 per month.

Although the LG K3 for 2017 isn’t a particularly flashy smartphone, it has a nice clean Android interface and is capable enough for surfing the net and staying in touch with your friends and family using social media.

Specs-wise, the LG K3 is a low-end device with a really compact as for current standards size factor. Sporting a 4.5-inch display the phone delivers 480 x 854 p quality viewing experience. Driven by a quad-core Snapdragon 210 processor clocked at 1.1GHz, the handset works on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of box.

As for RAM and ROM, the LG K3 offers 1GB of RAM and 8GB of built-in though thankfully expandable via microSD cards storage. Other than that the phone delivers pretty modern connectivity options including the fast 4G LTE, Wi-Fi and GPS. Kept alive by a 2,100 battery the K3 features a combination of a 5MP primary snapper with Auto Focus and LED flash and a 2MP front-facing sensor supporting Gesture Shot in charge of selfies.

Available exclusively in black, the LG K3 is already available at the US Cellular online store for $19.99.
