The All New HTC One has already clone – the GooPhone M8 Dual-SIM smartphone

ByinAnnouncements | March 8, 2014

Goophone M8Well, that was quick. The All New HTC One will be officially announced in the next three weeks but you can already buy its clone. As usual, the company responsible for bringing the latest design in a cheap package is the Chinese GooPhone. The know-off of the new HTC One is unsurprisingly called the GooPhone M8, comes with dual-SIM support and is already available for sale for around one third of what the original All New One is expected to sell. To be more exact, the fake HTC M8 will set you back just $229.99.

GooPhone M8 – The All New HTC One Clone

HTC M8 CloneGooPhone company is famous for releasing clones of top notch devices around the time of their launch. This time, however, the desire to break the record might have backfired. The GooPhone M8 is not exactly the All New One will look-alike. In fact, the device looks more similar to last year’s One than the upcoming HTC flagship. That may suggest that the guys from GooPhone started working on the handset before they got a chance to take a look at the latest renders. For comparison, the Samsung Galaxy S5 and its clone known as the GooPhone S5 look almost identical to an inexperienced eye and might be hard to tell apart.

We need to admit that the back of the GooPhone M8 is nothing like the back plate of the All New HTC One. Obviously, there is no dual camera or dual LED flash, but the horizontal stripes are also missing. The front actually could have fooled us if it didn’t have capacitive buttons which are not present on the new HTC One.

As far as hardware is concerned, the GooPhone M8 features a 5-inch display with full HD resolution and is powered by a 1.7 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor. The phone packs 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal memory and microSD slot for storage expansion. It is also equipped with a 12.6-megapixel rear camera with LED flash as well as a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Connectivity features include HSPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS navigation. The GooPhone M8 has a 2,800 mAh battery, supports dual-SIM and runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
