Xperia Z Water ProofQuite some time has passed since a new Sony phone was launched on T-Mobile but it appears that it may change in the near future. TmoNews posted a couple of photos of the Sony Xperia Z and, oh joy, it has a T-Mobile logo on the front. Of course it is not a proof that the carrier is actually going to release the handset so wait for more information before you start saving money for the purchase. The images do confirm however, that T-Mobile is testing the device, but whether it will hit the stores or not, it remains to be seen yet.

Sony announces its best smartphone – Sony Xperia Z, a water and dust resistant HD phablet

Sony’s new flagship smartphone, first known as the Yuga and then as the Xperia Z, is not only a top-end phone but also is dust and water resistant. The device is the first company smartphone to sport a Full HD (1920 x 1080) display and comes loaded with 5-inch screen, a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, 13 megapixel camera and runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean upgradeable to Android 4.2 shortly after launch. The new Xperia Z will and is scheduled to arrive in March to select carriers and retailers in UK at price £440, which is around $708. When the smartphone will be available in the US is not known yet.

This could mean a few things – either Sony is having issues with keeping things contained, is deliberately letting details slip, or someone is very good at guessing. Either way, with the latest batch of “facts” we probably know all there is to know about Sony’s soon-to-be unveiled devices, codenamed Sony C650X Odin and Sony C660X Yuga. Both smartphones are anticipated at CES, which begins January 8, so we will find out what is true and what is a mere product of imagination pretty soon.
