Although it may be difficult to remember, but the 4G LTE connectivity was once reserved only for the most high-end smartphones. Now it seems to be a must add-on feature even in mid-range phones. Still, one of the most often used methods of keeping price at budget-friendly level is renouncing LTE. However, since nowadays communication relies more and more on an extensive use of data, the lack of fast access to the internet may be seen as disqualifying factor when choosing a new phone. Apparently, Sony is well aware of that. Last month the company released a 3G handset called Xperia E4 and today its upgraded version with LTE connectivity called Xperia E4g.
Remember our article from yesterday about the leaked renders of the Sony Xperia E4? We wondered when the phone might go official, with MWC being a very probable option, but it looks like our estimates were way off. It turns out that we won’t have to wait that long. Actually, we don’t have to wait at all, since Sony has just launched the Xperia E4 together with a dual-SIM companion called Xperia E4 Dual.
Last year’s IFA was a very important event for Sony. In addition to the amazing Xperia Z3, the Japanese company also announced a number of other devices among which there was the Xperia E3 – a more modest companion to the flagship smartphone. Only three months after the E3 went official we started hearing rumors about possible successor being in the works and now the first images of the Xperia E4 leaked out.
