At the moment probably every retailer or a manufacturer who has its own store is finishing up preparations for next week’s Black Friday craze. Microsoft is no different. Many retailers will want you to actually show up at the store and pick the item of your choosing in person, which will be neither pleasant nor easy given the number of customers who will visit shops that day.
It is this time of the year again when all of a sudden all your appliances seem terribly old and used and in a desperate need of replacement. And what a better day to go shopping for a new smartphone or tablet than Black Friday? Save for huge crowds, of course. But who would fret about long lines when all those discounted prices are calling your name. There is still some time left until the craze begins but Best Buy has already started tempting its potential customers with a preview of its best offers.
What can you do when the sale of your product is not as high as you would want it to be? Well, start selling it cheaper, obviously. This is exactly what Microsoft is going to do with its Surface RT tablet. Starting today, the 32 GB model of the Windows tablet will be available at Staples for just $349. This is a very generous cut of a whopping $150. The 64 GB version will also sport a new price tag of $449. If you want the tablet with Touch Cover, the price will go up to $449 and $549 for the 32 GB and 64 GB variants, respectively.
