When Samsung didn’t present the Samsung Z phone, the very first Tizen smartphone, at the Tizen developers summit in Moscow last week, we were a little bit disappointed but definitely not very staggered. Let’s be honest, thanks to the series of the Z’s hold-ups, we got used to the fact that the company has a big problem with timing. But to our great surprise, the phone actually made its appearance during the conference introducing its golden version.
Samsung has been feeding us with empty promises on launching its first Tizen phone, for at least a year. Announced in June, the Samsung Z smartphone running Tizen platform was expected to be launched last week during the conference for Tizen developers in Moscow but it didn’t happen. Depending what your consider the first alleged date of its premiere, this will be its third or fourth hold-up.
We have waited quite a long time for this to happen and frankly, quite often we thought that the project will be abandoned but the day has finally arrived. Earlier today Samsung announced to the world the first Tizen phone – the Samsung Z smartphone. The Samsung Z is expected to hit the European markets sometime around this fall. Users in Russia will be the first lucky ones to get their hands on the device. After that, the smartphone will be released in other parts of the world including US shores.
