Back in May we reported that BlackBerry announced a new smartphone with a QWERTY keyboard. The BlackBerry Q5, as it is called, was scheduled for release in Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa and the Middle East. Chances of any US carrier ever launching the handset are pretty slim. However, it does not mean that it will remain out of your reach. If you really want the BlackBerry Q5, Best Buy provides you with an opportunity to buy the phone in unlocked flavor. The device costs $499.99 and is compatible with AT&T, T-Mobile, Net10, Simple Mobile and Straight Talk SIM cards.
BlackBerry hosted an event today during which the company announced a new smartphone running the latest version of the BB platform. The BlackBerry Q5 will go on sale in July and will be available in select markets in Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa and the Middle East. Pricing is not known yet, but we expect the device to be sold at much lower price than both the Q10 and Z10.
