Remember the amazing Oppo Find 7 that Oppo unveiled last month? Starting today you have a chance to get one as the company opened pre-orders for the phone. Well, it’s not exactly the flagship Find 7, but rather its international, slightly slimmed down and unlocked version called the Find 7a, but still it’s a great opportunity to grab a premium phone with a bunch of freebies at a pretty low price. The handset costs $499 in the US and €399 in Europe and is available through Oppo’s website without any contracts.
As expected, Oppo announced today its long anticipated Oppo Find 7 phone. The new Find 7 flagship Android smartphone is a successor of the Find 5 released back in 2012. Since the company skipped one year, it apparently thought it would be appropriate to also skip one number, hence the device is called Find 7 instead of Find 6. We are very happy to confirm that most rumors panned out and the ambitious phone indeed features QHD display, camera taking 50MP photos and Snapdragon 801 Soc.
There is very little we don’t know about Oppo’s upcoming flagship phone, the Oppo Find 7. In addition to countless leaks and rumors we were also treated to the company’s teasers which revealed a few crucial details. As if it wasn’t enough, today a new set of live photos leaked to the web showing us the phone in all its glory. The images picture not only the phone itself, but also its cool retail box.
In contrast to what the name may suggest, the Oppo Find 7, a refreshed version of the Oppo Find 5, won’t arrive to the market equipped with a 7-inch screen. Oppo has released one more teaser announcing that the phone will sport a 5.5-inch screen with 1440×2560 pixel resolution, called also 2K display. The combination of the display size and resolution calculates that the Find 7 will hit the market with an impressive 538 ppi (pixels per inch) screen.
The Vivo Xplay 3S has been unveiled becoming the first smartphone to come with a 2k display. It won’t be the only one for a long time, though. Another Chinese company, Oppo, is getting ready to release a competitor. The upcoming Oppo Find 7, just like the Vivo Xplay 3S, will feature a screen with 2,560 x 1,440 resolution. And no, it is neither a rumor nor speculation. The info was confirmed by Oppo itself, so it is as official as it gets.
It’s official. The Oppo Find 7 is a real deal and is coming soon. Not that there were many doubts about that, but an official confirmation from the maker itself is always welcome. Oppo posted a teaser image on its Facebook page on the day of the Find 5 first birthday along with a comment that it was just a beginning, clearly suggesting that the company has big plans for the future. Another teaser appeared on Oppo’s Weibo page hinting at imminent release. How imminent? It’s hard to tell, since no other details were revealed, but the beginning of 2014 sounds pretty reasonable.
What was high-end yesterday becomes mid-range tomorrow. Not literally, obviously, but the truth is that each year big steps are taken to make electronic devices, mostly smartphones, more powerful, efficient and smarter. So what are your expectations for 2014? New chip from Qualcomm, 2K display and 3 GB of RAM as standard sound perfectly reasonably. According to the latest rumors, you will be able to find these specs and much more in the upcoming Oppo Find 7.
