The HTC One Remix first popped up on the radar a couple of weeks ago offering no further details but its name. And truth be said, the name didn’t reveal much besides the fact that the device is somehow related to the HTC One. Then our reliable tipster @evleaks has solved the mystery by bringing us news that the Remix is in fact Verizon’s version of the HTC One Mini 2. A leaked press render seems to confirm the claim.
Rumors about a mini version of the HTC One M8 started making rounds almost as soon as the flagship phone hit the market. Earlier this month official images of the device, leaked out revealing its design, and suggested that the phone could be called HTC One Mini 2 and would be announced by the end of May. It turns out that today is the day. Just a few hours ago the Taiwanese manufacturer lifted the veils off of the HTC One Mini 2 presenting to the world the compelling sidekick for enthusiasts of smaller phones.
Almost every flagship phone released in the past two years have a mini sidekick. The explanation is very simple – not every user is enthusiastic about large phones with high-end specs, newest features and top price. Despite of this reason, there was always little doubt if the HTC One M8 Mini would be made. Indeed it will be and, better yet, it seems that it’s almost ready for launch. @evleaks found out that the miniature of the all new HTC One M8 will be sold as HTC One Mini 2 and it has already showed its face in a leaked press image.
