Famous for monitors and accessories BenQ isn’t surely one of the first companies that pops up in your mind when thinking about a smartphone. However, everything suggest that the Taiwanese manufacturer has ambitions to change this pretty soon by announcing their new flagship smartphone for 2015. Called BenQ F52, the new BenQ handset powered by the new Snapdragon 810 chip and 3GB RAM on the board is scheduled to debut during the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
BenQ has been keeping quiet for a while, at least as far as the smartphone sector goes. The company, which is known mostly for making monitors, TVs, digital projectors, cameras, and optical drives has decided to make a serious move towards smartphone business and recently launched two budget-friendly phones, the BenQ F3 and A3. At this moment, both devices are available only in Taiwan. The BenQ F3 costs NT$7,990, which roughly translates to $270. The BenQ A3 retails for NT$5,990, which is around $200.
