All of you who plan to get yourself more expensive ZenFone 2 powered by 4GB RAM now may have another option to think over as Asus released a new cheaper variant of the ZenFone 2 with 4GB RAM under the hood. But since nothing comes for free these days, beware as the lower price brings also downgraded parameters on the device. In order to cut down the price of the 4GB RAM model of the ZenFone 2, the Chinese manufacturer decided to reduce its internal storage space to 16GB.
We don’t see many Asus phones in this part of the world. It seems that the Taiwanese manufacturer prefers other markets and as a result US customers have very limited choice when it comes Asus-made handsets. To be more exact, the company sold only two smartphones in the US in the past – the Padfone X and Padfone X Mini. Starting today, however, a third device is joining the team. Called Asus Zenfone 2, the unlocked phone is now on sale in the US via third-party retailers.
Yesterday, ASUS officially unveiled the newest addition to Zenfone lineup during their CES event. Featuring higher-end specs, the ASUS Zenfone 2 packing 4GB dual-channel RAM with budget-friendly price seems to be a serious rival to smartphones offered by HTC and LG. What’s more interesting, carrying improved camera options and a high screen-to-body ratio the Zenfone 2 is the world’s first phone to go on sale equipped with 4GB dual-channel RAM, which definitely makes the device an eye-catching offer.
