When you think Windows Phone 8, it is Nokia that springs to mind immediately. It is probably because the vast majority of phones that ship with Microsoft’s platform are made by the Finnish manufacturer. Most, but not all, since more and more smartphone makers are joining in the fun with WP8 OS. One of the last additions to the expanding portfolio of WP8 phones is the Huawei Ascend W2. The device is already up for grabs in Huawei’s home country, China, and later this month will go on sale also in Russia and Netherlands.
Not much time has passed since the Huawei Ascend W1 went on sale at Walmart and it looks like a successor might be on its way. Leaks and rumors about the Huawei Ascend W2 have been making rounds since April, and now, courtesy of @evleaks, we have a nice render to go with the specs. That is assuming that the photo portrays the same device that was mentioned in previous rumors as the Ascend W2.
Recently we have heard a lot of rumors lately about two Huawei Windows 8 devices. One of them, the Ascend W1, was announced at Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas just a few days ago, which did not surprise us at all thanks to previous numerous leaks. The other handset, however, the Ascend W2, is a whole different story. The company is hiding it pretty well, since reportedly the phone should be announced next month, and all we have so far are just a few details and even fewer photos. Not for long, we hope.
