Have been wondering when the Nokia Lumia 925 and the Sony Xperia Z will make an appearance on T-Mobile? We already know and we don’t mind to share this info with you. The first sign that both handsets will probably hit the stores soon appeared a few days ago when a rumor stated that T-Mobile will receive dummy devices next week. This usually happens about two weeks before the handset actually goes on sale.
New T-Mobile phones and “Major EIT Release”
The rumor seems to be confirmed by a leaked internal play sheet from T-Mobile, which points to July 17th as a launch date for both Nokia Lumia 925 and the Sony Xperia Z. Together with these two devices, a third one will be released too – a mysterious T-Mobile 768. Most probably it will be a Huawei or ZTE offering, or some other manufacturer that releases under T-Mobile branding.
The Lumia 925 will cost $579 and you will be able to buy it for $99.99 down plus 24 monthly payments of $20 each. The pricing for the Xperia Z is unknown at this moment.
The play sheet reveals one more interesting detail. July 14th is labeled as “Major EIT Release”. While we cannot confirm with certainty what T-Mobile is referring to, we have a feeling that it has something to do with T-Mobile’s UNcarrier Phase 2 plan. Little is known about the Phase 2, except that phones will have to be purchased in full with no EIP (Equipment Installment Plan).
