In recent weeks Samsung customers’ attention has been focused mostly on the Galaxy Note 7, unfortunately, in a very negative way. Now that the phablet is officially off the market, Samsung is looking for ways to make it up to disappointed customers by offering various kinds of promotions or launching new versions of older models and it seems that all eyes are again on the Galaxy S7. If you want to score a free unit, we have great news for you – T-Mobile just kicked off Buy One Get One Free Galaxy S7 offer, if you don’t mind contracts.
T-Mobile is giving away free Galaxy S7 smartphones. There is a little catch, though.
Obviously, we are not talking about the type of contract you know from olden days, but nevertheless, you will have to sign an agreement which obligates you to stick with T-Mobile for 24 months. This is how it goes.
First, you will have to buy a Galaxy S7 with T-Mobile’s Equipment Installment Plan (EIP). If you do that, the second unit will be free with 24 monthly bill credits as long as you add it to your account as a new line of service. Then and only then, the second Galaxy S7s will be free. If you cancel your service before 24 months are up, you will have to pay the remaining balance.
The deal is good for both existing and new customers – the former will have to activate the second device on either Simple Choice Unlimited or T-Mobile ONE plan (depending on which plan they currently have), while the latter will have to first port their number and then activate both phones on T-Mobile ONE plan. If you are switching from a different network, T-Mobile will cover the costs up to $650 per line.
There’s one more thing you should keep in mind – it may take up to eight weeks for the credits to be applied to your bill, so you may need to muster up some patience. The BOGO deal also includes other models, so if the Galaxy S7 is not your cup of tea, you can opt for Galaxy S6, S6 Edge or S6 Edge+.
The promotion will go live this Friday, November 11 and will last until Sunday, November 13. It will be available through all channels, that is T-Mobile brick and mortar stores, online and via telesales.
