Nokia‘s loyal fans have been waiting patiently for over two years for a successor of the best ever camera-oriented phone Lumia 1020 that stands out of the crowd featuring a powerful pro-like 41-megapixel camera. Now if everything goes in line with the recent leaks, their patience may be soon rewarded since Microsoft apparently has a new photo-focused Lumia smartphone up their sleeves.
Microsoft may have a successor of the Lumia 1020 in the works dubbed Lumia 1040…
Though released in 2013 the Nokia Lumia 1020 is a bit old device in terms of optic parameters, it still beats most freshly released flagship handsets. No wonder, since it’s really hard to compete with its 41-megapixel ZEISS camera sensor with PureView technology.
Recently an image presenting a blurred camera sensor looking like a carbon copy of the one we known from the Lumia 1020 surfaced the net, suggesting that all of those waiting for the phone’s successor shouldn’t give up hope. Perhaps a bad-quality pic of a something we want to take for a new camera-focused phone dubbed Lumia 1040 (not Lumia 1030) isn’t especially convincing, but we surely get a hint that Microsoft is working on such a device.
Microsoft seems to be aware of the fact that the Lumia 1020’s staunch fans can’t be tempted by 3D technology, Snapdragon 810 nor even 2K screens and they won’t be satisfied until they see a new phone sporting a mouth-watering optics. However, we should remember to take all this speculative leaks with a pinch of salt until we see an official statement issued by the manufacturer.
