Introduced at CES 2017 the LG Stylo 3 ports to Sprint’s prepaid brands. The carrier has just announced to add the phone to its list of offerings expanding its prepaid affordable portfolio. The device offers a spacious screen, Android Nougat experience and a convenient pen-enabled input. All these may be yours for less than $200 if you port to Boost Mobile or Virgin Mobile.
LG Stylo 3 hits Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile prepaid networks. Featuring a 5.7-inch screen with an integrated stylus, the phablet may be yours for less than $180.
Those familiar with the mobile industry surely remember that the LG Stylo 3 is a something between low and mid-range smartphone housing a massive but not that sharp 5.7-inch display sporting 1280x720p of resolution. Even though the screen resolution is far from Quad HD quality found in most recent flagship smartphones, the panel is still capable to deliver decent viewing experience.
In addition, packing a built-in stylus for precise input the phablet is a great companion of work and entertainment. To make taking notes even more convenient LG enhanced the stylus equipping it with a thinner fiber tip. Thanks to this the pen allows for more accurate brushes. What’s more as the accessory reacts intuitively to changes in titling, it’s smart enough to know when your hand is resting. So be sure that it will never misinterpret it as an unintended screen touch.
Going deeper into the specs sheet, driven by an octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor clocked at 1.5GHz and coupled with 3GB RAM (other sources suggest that it runs a Snapdragon 435 chipset with 2GB RAM), the phone provides its potential users with Android 7.0 Nougat out of box. As for storage space, although the handset comes with 16GB on-board storage, you can expand this pretty basic amount by another 2TB using microSD expansion.
Speaking of the optics, the LG Stylo 3 hides a combination of a 13MP rear sensor and a 5MP front-facing selfie-friendly camera. Plus, powered by a quite generous 3,200 battery the phone will surely last the whole day of usage without charging.
Even though the phone is far from premium devices like the Galaxy S7, it’s still a pretty solid LTE-capable device proper for those of you who need a spacious screen complete with a pen. Besides don’t forget that as any self-respecting phone of 2017 the phablet comes with the latest version of Android preinstalled.
Priced at $179.99 plus tax naturally, the LG Stylo 3 can be paired with one of the Boost Mobile prepaid plans. If you’re looking for something cheap, then for $30 per month Boost will give you 2GB of LTE data. Those needing an unlimited plan may score one for $50 per month for a single line and $30 per month for a second line. Furthermore, you can also add 1GB of speedy data paying $5 per month or 2GB of LTE data for $10. In case you prefer Virgin Mobile, then for $35 per month you can enroll for the DATA LOVE plan including 5GB of LTE data or the DATA LOVE+ that costs $10 more but gives you 10GB of LTE data.
