Sprint challenges competition and makes its unlimited plan even cheaper

Sprint kicks off with an unlimited plan
Unlimited data plans have been a hot topic over this week. Mobile carriers compete to deliver the most limitless plans and when carriers compete we – customers – win. Three days ago Verizon started a small revolution in the unlimited plans, shortly after that T-Mobile upgraded its own unlimited deal so as to meet the requirements set by Verizon. Today, Sprint is giving us another option by slashing pricing of its unlimited plan to keep the pace of T-Mobile.

Sprint kicks off with an unlimited plan that seems to be better than the one introduced by T-Mobile and Verizon. For just $22.50 per month you may grab four lines, unlimited HD video streaming and lease the iPhone 7 for free.

Earlier today Sprint introduced some improvements to its unlimited data offer, making it similar to the new deals sold by T-Mobile and Verizon. Kicking off tomorrow (Feb 17th) the Sprint’s new unlimited plan will offer unlimited text and talk, HD video streaming and 10GB of 4G LTE mobile hotspot data (the speeds throttle to 2G after reaching the limit of 10GB) for just $65 per month, or even $60 if you sign up to AutoPay services. Furthermore, the offer includes game streaming up to 8Mbps and music streaming up to 1.5Mbps. However, if you read carefully the plan’s terms of service, you’ll see that the fine print says that the video data undergoes deprioritization during rush hours.

In addition, those who switch to Sprint leaving their current carrier can score an even more lucrative deal. If you port your number to the carrier, you can grab the unlimited plan for just $50 per month, providing that you enroll for AutoPay. In case you need more than one line, you can add the second one for $40 per month. If you sign up for two lines you can get three more completely out of charge until March 31st, 2018. After the promo exprres, the pricing will increase to $60 for a single line, $40 for the second line and $30 for lines three to five. In practice it means that the family of four will pay only $22.50 per line.

To make the deal even sweeter, Sprint released a special iPhone 7 promo. Within the deal all switchers who trade in a qualifying phone can lease the iPhone 7 for nothing per month for 18 months. If you wondering what devices qualify for the trade-in promo, here’s the complete list: iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, iPhone 6S and 6S Plus, Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, Galaxy Note 5, LG V20, LG G5, and the Moto Z Droid.

Just yesterday, the T-Mobile unlimited plan seemed to be the best. Today it has been beaten by the one offered by Sprint. The Sprint’s new deal doesn’t only give unlimited 1080p video streaming, 10GB of hotspot data 50 percent cheaper when compared to the one sold by the Un-carrier, but simultaneously allows all switchers to lease the iconic iPhone 7 for noting as long as you have one of the recent flagship you want to exchange.
