Sony Xperia Z1S for T-Mobile vs. Xperia Z1
The design of the Xperia Z1S does not depart much from the Xperia Z1, both featuring rectangular shape and large glass front and rear panels. The new model, however, is a tad bigger and heavier. Also, Sony did an extra work on the edges giving them more comfortable feel.
Another difference is the position of the headphone jack which now sits at the center of the top edge. The Xperia Z1S features a 5-inch 1080p display, 2 GB of RAM and an impressive 20.7-megapixel camera from Sony.
The phone offers much smoother user experience than the Xperia Z1 thanks to the use of Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. Sony also doubled internal memory, from 16 GB to 32 GB of storage.
As it is typical of recent Sony devices, the Xperia Z1S is waterproof. According to IP58 rating, the phone can be submerged in up to 4.9 feet of water for up to 30 minutes without any damage.
The handset runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and comes with an assortment of cool apps, such as “background defocus” app, which lets you simulate the blur effect of a large camera and bright lens.
