The awaited Sony Xperia Z3 isn’t the only star of the IFA scheduled for September in Berlin, the whole word is equally curious about the fervently rumored Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4, which is also scheduled to be unveiled during the event. And now just as the latest leaks concerning the Galaxy Note 4 have surfaced, we may except the phone to have all the top-notch features, including a superior body design and 13-megapixel camera.
Samsung Galaxy Note 4 – Latest Rumors
Since Galaxy Note line is constantly reaching international acclaim, it’s no wonder that many of us want to put their hands on the Note 3’s successor. If at least some of the rumors will turn out to be true, the new Galaxy Note 4 is a phablet worth looking forward. And if you’ve thought that the Galaxy F (“F” stands for fashion) is the only handset with shimmering metal cover to be revealed this year, you are in a big mistake.
New leaks say that the Galaxy Note 4 is supposed to undergo a dramatic metamorphosis. The phablet will be sold in two options: plastic and metallic. The rumors just confirm the words of the Samsung’s CEO who recently announced a huge change in the device’s look. So far, there is no reliable information whether the device plastic design will have the well-known faux-leather looking texture. It is also hard to tell if the device will be water-down as the Note 3 Neo. No matter what, it is definitely better to have choice, especially when the variety of models is accompanied by the diversity of prices, depending on whether you purchase plastic or more expensive metallic option, which we assume will happen along with the Galaxy Note 4’s unveiling.
The discussed phablet will have metallic exterior, which is said to be made of real metal, such as aluminum, stainless steel and magnesium. In comparison, the allegedly metal forerunners of the Galaxy family, such as the Galaxy Note 3, S5 and S4 were in fact launched with polycarbonate bodies.
Perhaps, through launching devices with authentic metal exteriors, Samsung wants to stop severe criticism accusing the company of too high prices as for plastic covered devices, what the company has been excusing saying that the use of plastic enables them to launch a new high-tech device every year, each one more popular than its forerunner.
But, the juiciest information of the leak is that the handset will house a massive 5.7-inch display using flexible technology, and it will be the Samsung’s first mainstream device with this feature. What in fact is highly probable, since the company increased the production capability up to 50% in order to deliver proper amount of flexible displays.
Finally, Samsung decided to equipped the Note 4 with 16-megapixel front camera with Optical Image Stabilization, instead of previously rumored 12-megapixel one.
Although all these features may be originally implemented only in the exclusive, limited version of the Note 4 model, they may become a standard in future devices. Just as the revamped version of the Galaxy S5, the Galaxy S5 LTE-A’s features, which include a QHD (2560 x 1440 resolution) display, a Snapdragon 805 processor with LTE-A connectivity and 3GB of RAM have marked out the standard specs in upcoming flagships.
The phablet is scheduled to be unveiled in September during IFA trade show in Germany, and later that month it is planned to go on sale. Additionally, the Note 4 is to face the simultaneous debut of the similar in terms of specs and size iPhone, will it stand the pressure?
