With a new two-year contract, the Rugby 4 will set you back $99.99. Finally, new activations and eligible upgrades can snag the phone for $0.99 through December 31 when paired with an Enhanced PTT rate plan. The device is available online and in retail stores.

The Rugby 4 is the fourth member of Samsung’s heavy-duty Rugby family. The phone offers solid construction which should survive not only being thrown into a bag together with a set of key, but also shouldn’t suffer too much when dropped on a rocky surface. The device is IP67-certified for water and dust-resistance and meets the MIL-STD-810G standard for protection against shock, vibration, temperature, low pressure, high-altitude, and other environmental conditions. In other words, the Rugby 4 is a perfect companion for mountain climbing or biking trip in the woods.

The Rugby 4 is the first in the series to come with Wi-Fi connectivity. The phone also has a built-in compass, an enhanced speakerphone, and turn-by-turn navigation. Moreover, the handset works with AT&T’s Enhanced PTT service which lets you communicate with other users with just one push of the button without having to actually dial a number. Last but not least, the Rugby 4 packs a pretty large 2000 mAh battery.
