Sprint has added a new flip phone to its entry-level lineup – the Samsung M400 dedicated for those who likes keep things simple. The Samsung M400 is available free with a new line or eligible upgrade and two-year service agreement, after a $50 mail-in rebate via reward card and can be purchase online and in Sprint stores.

The Samsung M400 features a 2.4-inch internal LCD display with a 240 x 320 pixel resolution, which is big enough to see comfortably what is on the screen, and a 1.07-inch external display which allows to see incoming calls, time, date, or battery level without having to open the phone.
Adjustable font sizes make and large keys enhance reading and writing messages making the Samsung M400 a great choice for seniors and visually impaired customers.
To facilitate the use of the phone even more, the Samsung phone is pre-loaded with Nuance VSuite version 4.0 text-to-speech client that reads menus, submenus, text, dialed numbers, caller ID and missed calls. Oversized keypad with five-way navigation key make sit quick and easy to locate and depress keys when making a call and navigate the phone’s menu. Dedicated 911 key and an In Case of Emergency (ICE) button can store up to three contacts and dedicated speakerphone button allows you to switch to hands-free mode in an instant.
Built-in lifestyle applications on Samsung M400 include Sprint Family Locator, which allows family or trusted caregivers to locate loved ones without disturbing their activities. The application uses GPS technology to locate a phone and display its location on an interactive map.
The Samsung M400 is powered by a Qualcomm QSC6155 processor clocked at 480 MHz and sports 128 MB of RAM and 256 MB of internal memory. The phone is compatible with 3G high speed data networks and thanks to a web browser you will be able to surf the web.
The M400 is equipped with a 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 3.0 supporting HFP 1.5, PBAP, HSP, GOEP, SDAP/SDP, DUN, OPP, vCard 2.1, vCard 3.0, Multiple Entry, Business Card, SPP, and 3GPPTS profiles, and USB 2.0. The 1.000 mAh battery offers up to 4 hours talk time and up to 10 days standby time. The phone runs BREW operating system.
