It seems that Samsung must be very proud of the Galaxy S4. The phone has proven to be very popular among the most demanding Android enthusiasts and yet, despite of its age and upcoming Galaxy S5, the manufacturer continue to experiment on the device. The Galaxy S4 has been released in several versions so far, each bringing something new and unique to the lineup. As of today, the Galaxy S4 family has two new members, the Black Edition Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S4 Mini. Both phones will go on sale in select markets around the world later this month.
Samsung Galaxy S4 Black Edition
The Black Edition Galaxy S4 and Black Edition Galaxy S4 Mini are clad in black, as you might have guessed, but instead of the glossy finish, both phones come with texturized backs that are designed to look like leather. The body is still made of plastic; however, the fake leather back has a totally different feel to it and looks much more stylish.
Both phones will ship with a new set of wallpapers for both the home and lock screens as well as several new and exclusive ringtones. All accessories provided with the devices, such as a power adapter, data cable and headphones will have a matching black hue.
New design aside, both the Galaxy S4 and S4 Mini are identical to the originals. The black Galaxy S4 features a 5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, Snapdragon 600 processor, 13-megapixel rear camera and 2 GB of RAM. The black Galaxy S4 Mini packs a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display with qHD resolution and is powered by a 1.7 GHz dual-core processor, just like the regular Galaxy S4 Mini.
